Dr. Craig Naugle is a fellowship-trained Mohs surgeon whose primary focus is to surgically remove skin cancers using the Mohs Micrographic Surgical Technique. He was the first surgeon to bring the life-saving tissue sparing procedure to the Ozarks 23 years ago. Dr. Naugle is double board certified in dermatology and micrographic surgery. He has extensive experience in reconstructive surgical repair of Mohs surgery defects and also specializes in the surgical excision of melanoma. Dr. Naugle has performed over 52,000 Mohs cases for patients in the area since 2002.

A native of Nixa, Missouri, Dr. Naugle graduated college from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He received his M.D. degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia with honors before completing an internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Dermatology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He then completed a fellowship in Mohs surgery and cutaneous oncology at the Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California, under the directorship of Hubert T. Greenway, MD. Dr. Greenway trained under Dr. Mohs in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1981. Dr. Naugle returned home to enter private practice in Springfield, Missouri, in 2002, bringing Mohs micrographic surgery to the area for the first time.
